Intertrade, established in Italy in the early 1980s by Nadi Fiori, the owner of the Taverna degli Artisti bar in Rimini, is a notable name in the whisky bottling scene. Fiori collaborated with beer distributors, the Turatello Brothers, and the Intertrade name is associated with his bottlings until around 1989. Fiori curated his whiskies from the Gordon & MacPhail catalogue, and, as both a collector and a contemporary of fellow connoisseurs Silvano Samaroli and Ernesto Mainardi, he understood the significance of striking label designs. Many of Fiori's bottlings were requested at cask strength, reflecting his commitment to providing unique and sought-after selections. Whether under the Intertrade, Turatello, or High Spirits banner, Fiori's whiskies remain highly coveted in the market. This particular release is noted as "One of 384 bottles," underscoring its limited and exclusive nature.
