Ragnaud Heritage Mme Paul Ragnaud Cognac 1875-1890, Grande Champagne
The Marcel Ragnaud Héritage Mme Paul Ragnaud cognac, sourced from grapes cultivated in the esteemed Grande Champagne area, is celebrated for its refined elegance. This specific cuvée is derived exclusively from the initial vine plantings post the phylloxera crisis, during the period between 1875 and 1890. The Ragnaud family's foray into cognac production commenced in 1860 with a modest vineyard in Grande Champagne, primarily cultivating Folle Blanche and Ugni Blanc varieties. Raymond Ragnaud, in 1941, established the brand bearing his name, initiating the bottling of cognacs produced by preceding generations, starting with his father, Paul Ragnaud. Today, under the stewardship of Françoise Ragnaud-Bricq, the estate has expanded, now spanning 47 hectares across three properties in Ambleville, Criteuil La Madeleine, and Lignères-Sonneville .
